Accreditations

CPCSEA: Anthem has been approved by Committee for the purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Ministry of Environment & Forests, GOI to experiment on animals.

AAALAC: Anthem vivarium has been designed in compliance with national and international standards. AAALAC (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) certification will be obtained soon.

DSIR: Anthem has also been recognized as a research centre by DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

GLP: Anthem follow the guidelines and protocols as prescribed by OECD principles of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice). A formal GLP accreditation will be obtained in near future.

Animal Welfare: At Anthem every employee involved in anthem's R&D activities are required to obey the regulatory standards and ethical principles. All the studies executed under the supervision of qualified veterinarian after approval by IAEC (Institutional Animal Ethics Committee).

Using animals in any testing or process will only occur after alternate methods have been fully explored and rejected .Animals will be treated humanely, minimizing pain and stress. Animal testing should be performed only after consideration has been given to non-animal test methods, reducing the numbers of animals used refining procedures to minimize distress in animals being tested.

Animals will be housed and managed in compliance with committee for the purpose of care and supervision of experiments in animals (CPCSEA) guidelines and the conditions specified in the "Guide for the care and use of laboratory animals". Anthem is committed to 3 'R' principles- Refinement, Reduction and Replacement.
