Library Design and Synthesis
- Anthem’s Library synthesis team has rich experience in catering to the needs of global pharmaceutical and biotech companies in designing and synthesizing scaffolds/ high purity spatially addressed libraries for drug discovery
- Examples of some target classes are Protein Kinases, Proteases, GPCR, Ion-Channel, NHRs, Phosphodiesterases, Ubiquitin/Proteasome.
- The library projects are usually approached in three phases:
- 1. Phase I: Scaffold route scouting, scale-up and representative library step validation
- 2. Phase II: Library production, purification and analysis
- 3. Phase III: Creating SD file, packaging and shipping
- A tracker containing details of synthesized library compounds would be maintained and details of synthesised compounds are shared with the client in the SD file format
- Compound identification is done by LC-MS, purity by HPLC and 1H-NMR for representative compounds (based on mutual agreement)
- The final compounds are packed and shipped in appropriate vials as per specifications
- All necessary equipments such as microwave synthesizer, parallel column chromatography, Genevac solvent remover, Radley’s carousel 12 plus reaction station, preparative HPLC etc. to carry out library synthesis are in place
- A specially trained analytical team to cater to preparative does HPLC purification and analysis of compound libraries.
- Data transfer is done using encryption software or secure e-room
