Cabergoline IP/USP/EP

Cabergoline is an ergot-derived dopamine receptor agonist. Used to treat hyperprolactinemia caused by pituitary adenomas or idiopathic conditions. Anthem offers IP, USP and EP monograph confirmed product.

Indications

  • Blood cell disorders caused by folate antagonists, colon cancer (with 5-fluorouracil), anemia due to folic acid deficiency.

Indications

Mechanism of Action

  • Exhibits selective estrogenic or anti-estrogenic activity depending on the tissue type. It prevents implantation by creating unfavorable conditions in the uterus.

Dosage

  • Dysfunctional uterine bleeding: 60 mg twice weekly for the first 12 weeks; then once weekly for another 12 weeks.

Valganciclovir IP/USP

Valganciclovir is an oral prodrug of ganciclovir, belonging to the class of nucleoside analog antivirals. Used in the treatment and prevention of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections, especially CMV retinitis in AIDS patients and prophylaxis in organ transplant recipients.

Indications

  • Non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), steroid-induced diabetes mellitus, glycogen storage disease.
